I've been messing with the irblaster that came with my pvr 150, for about a day and a half now and haven't been able to get it to work properly. I'm looking for some help.

Cable Box
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250C

I worked off these two guides
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... alkthrough
http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page ... hSetTopBox

Seeing as how the first one was a bit dated i skipped the part about patching and recompiling ivtv and lirc.
Ive ran the send_power_new script countless, times, and i don't think it has come on yet. There was one time, it seemed to power it on, but when i ran the same irsend code it didn't work. I did multiple commands in case my counting was off (i got 1_76). So i did 1_(50-96) and 0_(50_96). And it still didnt come back on.

The first thought is the positioning of the ir light, but i have repositioned it so many times, changed the orientation, etc. This may still be the case not to sure though. I got the position of the ir sensor from this pdf
http://www.scientificatlanta.com/produc ... 015276.pdf

Lastly i tried the codeset's from Marks site, for the 4200 series. But im not sure what the problem is The only one's i couldn't try were 0_1xx_X it gave this error code.

irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE blaster 0_102_KEY_POWER
irsend: unknown command: "0_102_KEY_POWER"

When running 1_1xx it ran fine though.

I can't help you with the ir blaster provided with your pvr150, however I strongly recommend the $12 irblaster from irblaster.info. I have been using this blaster with my pvr150 and a motorola STB, for over a year now. This blaster works flawlessly with knoppmyth, and setup is VERY easy.

(they also sell a ir receiver that works very well)
