I'm using an Airlink 4030 G USB Adapter and see it using lsusb. I'm a total n00b at linux and mythtv and knoppmyth. Can someone tell me how I install drivers for this USB wireless adapter and configure the WEP key? I really need help with this! Thanks! |

From madwifi: At this time MadWifi does not support any USB devices. It's unlikely that MadWifi itself will be extended for USB support, as the USB devices have a largely different architecture. Background information on that can be found in ticket #33. This is the AWLL 4030, which is a USB adapter. If it shows up in lsusb, does that mean anything as far as whether a driver exists for the device or not? I mean, could there be a configuration utility someplace in the OS and I just am not aware of it? Any other suggestions? |

What you need to do is find out which chipset it is using as this will give you a better indication of what driver to use. You may be able to use ndiswrapper to get it working. lsusb should give you the info you need on what the internal chip of the device is. |
