| Post subject: | Hauppauge remote issue with new install? |
I've searched the forums and the wiki for an answer, and was hoping to avoid a complete tear-down of lirc to resolve it. The real show stopper with my new knoppmyth install is the lack of viable IR control. I'm using a PVR-250 with an aftermarket IR eye (receiver) plugged into it. My 250 came with a A415-HPG silver (dogbone) remote. I ran the LIRC config script, selected my remote, and tried it out. Nada. A quick look at /proc/bus/input/devices shows the IR control as being recognized (with a handler of kbd event2), but running evtest as root on the handler results in nothing when I test out the remote (no events are recognized). Shouldn't I be seeing something? Thanks in advance. |

- Why are you using an after market sensor rather than the one that came with the card? - Are you sure that the after market piece is compatible with both the card (electrically and signal protocol) and the remote (IR frequency and protocol)? - Have you looked at the LIRC/Hauppauge Remote related items in the R5F27 Hints? |
