Post subject:  nvidia resolution incorrect?

Been using KnoppMyth for a few months. Was using R4V3 and I forgetten which nvidia driver. I believe I downloaded it directly from nvidia.

I ran the R4V4 update to update my knoppmyth and now my display on my TV has black bars on the sides. It appears to be pinching my display output. Also when I switch to my virtual terminal and go to terminal one (ctrl-alt-f1) it will not show acommand prompt it just shows jibberish graphics. However I can type commands and they do execute. SO it is a display problem.

When I installed the driver this time I used: /usr/local/bin/install-nvidia.sh.

According to dmesg it installed:
0: nvidia: loading NVIDIA Linux x86 nvidia.o Kernel Module 1.0-4363 Sat Apr 19 17:46:46 PDT 2003

I assume the problem is with the driver or the XFree config.

Anyone else have this problem?

well for the black bars you should change the overscan option in /etc/XF86Config-4 it can be from 0.1 - 1.0 usually somewhere from 0.6 to 0.8 gets me to the right size.
