Is there an official way to stop Knoppix from polling for SATA drives at boot? My Dell 8300 has 2 SATA connectors. I turned them off through BIOS but the Knoppix boot sequence still finds them. The timeout is 30 seconds for each port so it's taking over 1 minute of extra time to boot. If there's a way to disable SATA support altogether, that would be fine also. |

Try adding "noscsi" or "nosata" to your boot options. |
