 Post subject: HD 5500 failed to open

Total noob to Linux, KnoppMyth, and MythTV. Not a good start.

I thought I did my research before purchasing the pcHDTV HD 5500 tuner card. Hoping the installation would be smooth with R5F27 but MythTV "can not open card" after install. Have tried DVB TV and pcHDTV tuner capture card settings. pcHDTV claimed the card was directly compatible with KnoppMyth. Not sure where/what I am doing wrong - not sure how to check drivers, but had the impression that KnoppMyth checks this on install.

Thanks - over my head already.
