hi there,

i built a dedicated rig mainly to record TV to the harddrive, spec as follows:

* AsRock K7VT2 mobo (AC97 onboard sound)
* 512mb DDR-Ram
* GeForce 3 Ti500 (Creative) w/ TV-Out
* Hauppauge WinTV PCI FM (BT878, Phillips)
* 250gb Samsung HDD

Installation went okay and after some fiddling with xorg.conf (PAL-B, Composite, ...) i also was able to get the MythTV to show on my TV in color

The problems still remaining are:

- There does not seem to be a correct config-file for the remote that came with my WinTV so i guess i'd need to reconfigure one of the configs that are included with KnoppMyth. How can i do that ? It's the small black remote control with round rubber buttons (Reserved button on lower left).
- Volume change via the mixer for some reason gets reset each time i restart the system
- If i quit mythtv the TV's sound keeps running, also for some reason the TV sound becomes asynchronous after a while

It'd be really nice if some of You guru's could point me to solutions for those few problems. Thanks in advance !

i was able to fix the sound problems (sound keeps running after myth shutdown aswell as mixer settings getting discarded) by using alsamixer, muting the lineout and using it as the recording source and then doing a "alsactl store". still i have no idea on how to get my small black remote control reconfigured.
