Anyone using a serial cable to control a Motorola DCT2000? I just switched to digital cable and received a couple of these boxes. I see there is a serial connection on the back and there are instructions on the wiki to connect it to a myth box. Before I start editing my backend, does anyone know how to check if the serial connection is active on the DCT box? I checked the diagnostics screen and couldn't see anything about the serial port. The firmware on the box is 7.96, dated May 2006.

Not currently using DCT2000, but had one hooked up around R5B7 time frame using serial cable. At the time Comcast had the serial port enabled.

Basically just followed this guide http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... olaDct2000
