I'm having problems with my box, but rather than mess with a sort of working setup, I'm going to pickup another hard drive that I can swap in, do a fresh install, and then when it's working right, copy all my stuff over.

These two drives are the same price, just not sure which one is better in terms of quality and noise levels. Anybody know?

Western Digital posts their noise specs on their website, so perhaps the other vendors do, too. In my experience, if noise specs are absent, it means they are very noisy drives
