I've built a nice system and I'm having only one problem, and that is with the MCE remote. My system is a ECS GOAL3+ SiS 761 GX Micro ATX, with a AMD Sempron 3000+ 754, with a Hauppauge 500 MCE, a WD 500GB HD, and a Lite On DVD burner, with 512GB memory. I have the 1069 remote.
I've spent the last 4 days install, reinstalling, troubleshooting, searching the web, trying everything and anything to get this thing to work. I got so tired of trying to fix it I've even tried mythbuntu. Personally I like KnoppMyth, I've been running it on another system since R5C7.
I know the hardware works because it works on Mythbuntu, the only reason I'm not running Mythbuntu, honestly, is because under Mythbuntu the video playback bleeds from the top and I can't figure it out either.
I've done everything posted in the forums, multiple times. I've tweaked the configuration, recompiled lirc, and nothing.
I can see what the problem is, but I don't know how to fix it. There is nothing in /dev except lircmd. Here's some of the information I know people want to know
