I tried using the search function, however, I was not successful in finding the requirements (specification) for a compatible IR blaster. The reason I am in search of this is that I am interested in this item, however, without the specs, I can not evaluate nor can I ask the vendor for data: http://cgi.ebay.com/Micro-IR-Infrared-F ... dZViewItem Any constructive guidance or suggestions are appreciated. I'd suggestion checking the LIRC website. Any device that works w/ LIRC should work (hopfully w/ little issue). |

Thanks for the tip. I was able to find some interesting info here: http://www.lirc.org/ http://www.wh9.tu-dresden.de/~heinrich/lirc/ (circuit) I will report more if I find the hardware spec. |

Hi, Quote: a compatible IR blaster
The blaster is an easy item to make, Radio Shack 276-143 works fine. Suggest that you put a second colored led in series so can visually see it activate. I was lazy and simply hacked up a spare 150 receiver / blaster to make a serial device. Mike |
