Post subject:  keyboard issue with MythFrontend (R5.5)
Hi,

I installed KnoppMyth R5.5 on my system yesterday (clean install, not an upgrade).

When I press the right or left arrow on my keyboard (wired USB older logitech keyboard) Mythfrontend takes it as two key presses. The IR remote (Hauppauge) works Ok.

When I open an XTerm and type a few characters, the left and right arrows work fine.

I'm using the US PC105 layout as normal for me.

Any ideas of where to start for troubleshooting this?

Hi,

I have had the multi-key action also. May be a glace at this thread may help if Cecil's approch doesn't do the trick.

Hi Guys,

I tried Cecil's trick as soon as I saw the reply (via remote SSH into the box) and tested it when I got home. It seems to work fine. I did have to set my colour depth to 24bit from 16bit, but I'm not sure if that was because of the upgrade or because I just didn't initially notice it.

I really do love MythTV and KnoppMyth. KnoppMyth is by far the most stable and well featured Myth distribution. I often watch TV on my laptop (Ubuntu linux with MythFrontend installed) over the wireless network in our house. A truly useful and worthy application, IMHO. :-)
