Hey all, I got a Supermicro 8 port sata card SATA-MV8 for my be server. Its in an Asus CUR-DLS motherboard with dual 1GB PIII CPUs and 2GB Ram. In R5F27 it detects the card out of the box no problems. In R5.5 I could not see sda,sdb,sdc,sdd like I could in R5F27. So I started digging, and found that this card uses the sata_mv driver. http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Hardware/sata.html So I tried "modprobe sata_vm" what I got was: Code: FATAL: Module sata_mv not found.
Not sure where to go from here. |
