bare bones

looks like it supports up to 2.6 quad core

Anyone think this would record/play live HD or h264 L5.1 up to 1080p?

Basically, I like the small form factor and don't really want to mess with a front/back end situation. I want this to be the front/back in one box. I mainly want to...
- Pause and watch over the air live TV (with my HDHomeRun).
- Play HD content on the network located on other computers.

With the USB 2 and 1394 support, storage isn't an issue.
It has HDMI/DVI, so I assume it has the video power to play HD.

The following features would be nice, but not 100% necessary, especially to start off. I can add these later if needed (or not):
- Recording HD over the air would be nice. Would I be OK with just the HDHomeRun? Would this thing have enough power to record from the HDHomeRun?
- It would also be nice to be able to record SD from a sat/cable box, so I'm guessing I would add a USB module from Hauppauge or something similar?

Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I see there might be some minor (tier 2 type) configuring and tweaking, but I have a linux guru in my back pocket, so if it's possible to get running, then I'm not worried. I'm wondering more about live TV and HD playback.
