I've been asked by work to setup a media monitoring box.

I'll need to be able to record at least three sd channels at a time.

Would I be able to do two dual tuner cards in one box?

Any help is appreciated ..

I don't know about sd cards or dual cards, but I have 3 single-tuner HD cards in mine, and it works great.

I have two SD (pvr-150) and 1 dual-tuner hd external (HDHR)

Assuming you have cards that do their own encoding, and not just framegrabbers, then I think disk I/O would be your limiting issue. The newest myth, included in KM 5.5, supports "Recording Groups" which would allow you to spread the recording across multiple disks and, in theory, raise the bar.

I have 3 tuner cards in my box (1 SD; 2 digital). I also do firewire recording. I have not had any problems recording 4 shows simultaneously. Should work fine.

Yes.

I'd confirm this. I have had two dual digital PCIE tuners, all recording HDTV at once. Machine was an Aus Dragon 2.
