I upgraded my girlfriend's PVR-350 system from R5F27 to R5.5.

Twice now the system has gone into a mode where all recordings are
0 bytes long. (Yes there is plenty of room on / and /myth) Reboot
fixes it. mythbackend.log says "select timeout - ivtv driver has stopped
responding". There are no associated DMA errors as sometimes
otherwise documented on the net.

This seems to have started when I upgraded to R5.5 from R5F27.

Anybody else seeing this?

I am wondering if I need to compile the latest ivtv drivers.

This is happening every few weeks. Sometimes it quits in the
middle of a recording and sometimes at the beginning, but once
it quits, all recordings after that are 0 byte, so we loose maybe
a dozen recordings before noticing it.

This happens with R5.5 but did not happen with R5F27.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?

(Some extra tags)
empty recording
0 byte file
