Post subject:  PCI video card - is it fast enough?

I have been looking for a AGP video card with a Nvidia chipset. Last weekend a local retailer offered me a good deal on an old PCI card with the Nvidia 6200. It worked fine with a DVD movie, xvid files, live tv, but seem to notice some difficulties with some recorded TV. Is this because the slot is too slow or can I rule that out. I can return it this weekend if I don't think it is working, and maybe exchange it for an AGP with the same chipset.

Opinions? Ideas?
Thanks

PCI does tend to be a bottleneck for video. AGP 4X or better (AGP 8X or PCIe 16X) is recommended.

I would recommend returning the card. Here is an extremely long thread trying to get a pci fx5200 working. The end result was that the pci version just couldn't cut it but the agp version is fine.

Cool thanks guys, I am going to try and exchange it for the AGP version tomorrow. For future reference it does work pretty good with both my screens and setup was easy.
