Okay background -- I have a PVR-150 and a PVR-500 in a combined FE/BE system. I notice that all of my recordings from CardID 11, have perfect audio, but no video. The video is all black. Quick disk connect of my coax cable show me that CardID 10 and CardID 11, are on the PVR-500. Everthing (Live TV, recording) Works normal on the CardID 10 but I get audio only, with black video on CardID 11.

So, is it possible for half the 500 do go bad?

The card actually has two separate tuner chips on board so it certainly is possible for only one of them to have gone bad. Of course it could be many other things as well.

Hopefully it's just a glitch and you can get it fixed.

Any ideas on where to start? I have tried a reboot of the system with no change in symptoms. Would there be anything in a log somewhere?

Delete and recreate tuners in Mythtv-setup would be my suggestion. Was it working ok then stopped? Recent upgrade?

It may be a corruption of something, or it could have just 'gone bad'. On the positive side you can set your tuners up to multi-record which will releive some of the problem of a messed up tuner card, in the short term at least.

It was working, and it work for about three weeks after my upgrade from 5F27 to R5.5.

I went ahead and followed the suggestion to drop all my tuners and re-add them. It appears to have fixed the PVR500.

Thanks for the help.
