OK, all my problems with getting an Atomic Ant running have been trying to get a slimline DVD drive working with it. * I found a company that sold the adapter converting the slimline drive's IDE port to a standard IDE port thanks to the forum. * The tiny screws for mounting the drive turned up out of nowhere, so I could mount the drive in the case. * I purchased an adapter that converted Molex 4-pin to the floppy-drive-type power that the IDE adapter required (since the InWin case only has two Molex plugs and a single SATA plug). Got everything connected, saw the power light light up on the slimline drive, booted up the computer, pressed the Eject key and... no tray ejection. The drive clicks and sounds like the laser head is moving, but the tray never pops out. Have I forgotten to unlock some kind of shipping setting that locks the tray in place? I've even tried the manual paper clip trick and it just does not eject. Would REALLY appreciate hearing from people who've built these (cesman included) about how they've gotten around these problems. Thanks. |
