i have tried the wiki for installing the hvr 950 but i run into the same problem. the line where you type "hg clone http://mcentral.de/hg/~mrec/v4l-dvb-kernel" says command not found. i cant figure this one out or if i am even doing this correctly. any help is greatly appriciated. also i was wondering if anyone knew of a good tuner card that worked with knoppmyth out of the box?

It looks like you need to download mercurial package manager (hg).
Try the following:

Code:
$ sudo aptitude install mercurial

then using mercurial, download the most recent version of v4l-dvb:
Code:
$ hg clone http://mcentral.de/hg/~mrec/v4l-dvb-kernel

Good luck .....

When it is ready; R6 is functioning now and ready for most everyday use. I don't have an HVR-950 to personally confirm but a user has report success with it. Additional, the 850 works w/o issue. Your downloading the preview release and providing feedback/bug report is the quickest way to help get that release date closer.
