Anyone tried a VDPAU capable card in an older VIA low power motherboard?

I have an VIA C6 EPIA-M with 1Ghz CPU(Nehemiah) that I would like to brink back to life.
It only has 1 pci slot on the board.

I know the commercial scanning would take forever..(unless it's processed by the GPU as well?).

I tried XvMC with it using the built in hardware decoder and was less than satisfied since it can only handle up to 1024x1024 frames.

Just curious since I see people are having success with HD on the Intel Atom with VDPAU and PCI.

I would think you'd be fine (although I can't answer your question for sure). My Athlon XP board (nforce2 chipset) works great w/ VDPAU playing HD stuff (8400GS).
