I have tvout working with a pvr350 but would really like to be able to CTL+ALT+F2 to get to a tty without haveing to exit the frontend.

When I try to switch to a tty I get a black screen with a flashing white cursor. From the threads I have read this seem to be the same results everyone else has.

Is there a way to make the tty text visible on the pvr350? Or if that is not possible, then is there a way to leave the tty on the VGA? (when X switches to PVR350 the VGA simply freezes until reboot)

Paul

By the way I can't thank you guys enough for creating this distro, I tried for a month last fal to setup Mythtv but fianlly gave-up in frustration, thanks for doing all the legwork for us.

This isn't an installation issue.

I had the same issue. But adding a menu entry into the MythTV menu (where you find also the "halt" command) that executes xterm.
Edit the mythtv.xml (out of memory, may not be correct name) and add a entry for xterm.

The plain text console of knoppix did not work when used vie PVR-350 out on a TV. My TV can't sync that.
This is why I went to the xtem, which plays well in Mythtv's X.
