Post subject: | R6 PVR-150 cannot tune above channel 13 [SOLVED] |
Hello, I am getting an R6 system setup with 4 tunes. 1. HVR-1600 2. PVR-150 3. PVR-150 4. PVR-150 So far its been good, but I cannot get any of my tuners to work above channel 13. Channels 2-13 work, but everything above that are all static. I tested every tuner indevidually, and they all did the same thing. I am pretty sure all the tuners are not bad. Two of them are brand new, and the other two were working fine in the previous knoppmyth system R5F27. dmesg | grep ivtv* Code: ivtv: Start initialization, version 1.4.0 ivtv0: Initializing card #0 ivtv0: Autodetected Hauppauge card (cx23416 based) ivtv 0000:02:0b.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 23 (level, low) -> IRQ 23 ivtv0: Autodetected Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 cx25840 0-0044: cx25843-24 found @ 0x88 (ivtv i2c driver #0) tuner 0-0043: chip found @ 0x86 (ivtv i2c driver #0) tuner 0-0061: chip found @ 0xc2 (ivtv i2c driver #0) wm8775 0-001b: chip found @ 0x36 (ivtv i2c driver #0) ivtv0: Registered device video0 for encoder MPG (4096 kB) ivtv0: Registered device video32 for encoder YUV (2048 kB) ivtv0: Registered device vbi0 for encoder VBI (1024 kB) ivtv0: Registered device video24 for encoder PCM (320 kB) ivtv0: Registered device radio0 for encoder radio ivtv0: Initialized card #0: Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 ivtv1: Initializing card #1 ivtv1: Autodetected Hauppauge card (cx23416 based) ivtv 0000:02:0c.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 20 (level, low) -> IRQ 20 ivtv1: Autodetected Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 cx25840 1-0044: cx25843-24 found @ 0x88 (ivtv i2c driver #1) tuner 1-0061: chip found @ 0xc2 (ivtv i2c driver #1) wm8775 1-001b: chip found @ 0x36 (ivtv i2c driver #1) ivtv1: Registered device video1 for encoder MPG (4096 kB) ivtv1: Registered device video33 for encoder YUV (2048 kB) ivtv1: Registered device vbi1 for encoder VBI (1024 kB) ivtv1: Registered device video25 for encoder PCM (320 kB) ivtv1: Initialized card #1: Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 ivtv2: Initializing card #2 ivtv2: Autodetected Hauppauge card (cx23416 based) ivtv 0000:02:0d.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 21 (level, low) -> IRQ 21 ivtv2: Autodetected Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 cx25840 2-0044: cx25843-24 found @ 0x88 (ivtv i2c driver #2) tuner 2-0061: chip found @ 0xc2 (ivtv i2c driver #2) wm8775 2-001b: chip found @ 0x36 (ivtv i2c driver #2) ivtv2: Registered device video2 for encoder MPG (4096 kB) ivtv2: Registered device video34 for encoder YUV (2048 kB) ivtv2: Registered device vbi2 for encoder VBI (1024 kB) ivtv2: Registered device video26 for encoder PCM (320 kB) ivtv2: Initialized card #2: Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 ivtv: End initialization ivtv 0000:02:0b.0: firmware: requesting v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw ivtv0: Loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (376836 bytes) ivtv0: Encoder revision: 0x02060039 ivtv 0000:02:0c.0: firmware: requesting v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw ivtv1: Loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (376836 bytes) ivtv1: Encoder revision: 0x02060039 ivtv 0000:02:0d.0: firmware: requesting v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw ivtv2: Loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (376836 bytes) ivtv2: Encoder revision: 0x02060039 dmesg | grep dvb* Code: cx88/2: cx2388x dvb driver version 0.0.6 loaded

Have you done a channel scan? And do you have other channels setup via your mythfilldatabase source? (schedulesdirect.org in the US) |

I did do a channel scan, and everything above 13 says "no signal". Thats not true because when its connected to my TV I get a lot of channels above 13. My SchedulesDirect lineup includes all the channels avaliable in my area. |

Sounds like an incorrect choice for "channel frequency table" in mythtv-setup. http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual: ... eo_sources |

Yup that was it. When I was using KnoppMyth R5F27 the "default" frequency table seems to work if I recall correctly. So I assumed it would also work in R6. See what I get for assuming. Chaging it from "default" to "us-cable" fixed the problem. Thanks. |
