Does anyone use a mini-itx with knoppmyth?

What about an Epia 10000? Anyone know if the hardware decorder works?

I'm thinking about taking a junked TIVO case and placing this inse, just running the wires through the existing holes, the only problem i forsee is the power supply. Anyways, just looking for some help. Thanks.

try searching the forums for epia. There has been some discussion about this, but I can't remember the extent of the driver support.

I did, one guy said he was gonna release instructions, but i couldn't find them. Other's have talked about diskless front ends. Others say to go with Chinatek or what not. I really want the size of the mini-itx, 17cm*17cm, fits real nice into what i'm looking to mod. If i decide to get a pvr350, I really don't need the tv-out to work, as long as the sound and lan work flawlessly i'm set. I just wanted to see if someone had set this up as a stand along not just a frontend. I also hear the SPFID works too, so that would be nice.

On another topic, would anyone be interested if i keep records and pictures of this modding project of an old series tivo 1 case. I have one person who feels i'll get slashdotted, but i don't think it'll be that popular. My wife just likes the look of it and we got rid of our landlines, and even tho i had version 1.3 before we subbed awhile back, it upgraded to version 3.0 and now i can't manually record. Called customer service, said too bad. And i can't find a 1.3 svr 2000 image out there to reset. So i figured a nice project would be to mod the tivo, so she could still use it. Anyways, thanks for the info.

Hi, it was me with the instructions. I had alot of problems with getting alsa working with a new kernel, no idea why. I've started again with a 2.4.26 and am having much better luck.

The decoder works fine, note you need an M version to have the decoder. I'm not sure if the MII is working yet, it seemed to need a few changed.
To get it working requires a modified kernel and a few drivers adding to X, it also then requires modifying the ivtv config as the decoder is also a v4l device.

SPFID works with no changes, just needs specifying as the output.

If your familar with kernel building and linux its not too bad, it was a real pain 6mnths ago as a lot of the code needed fixing before it would compile, but it has stabilised now.
