The MII and the pvr350 are both problematic, but can be used, just not easily. Check out the wiki for howto's on both.

I have an Epia MII1000 and a PVR 250. After running the KnoppMyth R4V4.1 installation CD and rebooting, the system freezes at:

Code:
msp3410: daemon started

I'm a Linux newbie, so please spell out any possible solution.

I have a system based on the chaintech 7nif2. It was working fine with a pvr-250. It crashed the other day and it now does the same thing.... when it gets to msp 3410 Daemon started it hard locks. :-(. I am thinking that I will have to reinstall....

Kodjo-

Try the card in a windows box with the OEM drivers. Mine did the same thing as yours and would not load the windows drivers, Hauppauge is going to replace the card for me. I think its broke.
