Post subject:  Shows recorded on the bttv card play too slow on the PVR350

Hi,
I have a set top box PC with a celeron 1400 with a pvr350 and a bttv card.
Unfortunately the shows recorded on the bttv card are way to slow when played on the PVR350 output.

I would like to know if someone with a similar configuration could make it usable by tweaking the recording profiles or anything else and if so could explain what changes where made.

When using the ivtv X driver I can play DVDs with much less framedrop than when mythtv plays the files recorder by the bttv.

I apologize in advance if I picked up the wrong forum.

Thank you.

While the 350 will output MPEG2 video just fine, it isn't a video card. It's current weakness is in playing back video encoded in other formats. Some success has been reported. Please search the forum.

Yes I am aware of this.
What is strange is that playing DVDs with mplayer in software mode is smoother than playing recorded shows with the bttv.
If the limiting factor is the ability to move the decoded video from main memory to the PVR350 video mem than it should be slower when playing dvds (because of the higher resolution).

I would appreciate to know if anyone got an appropriate solution as what I have seen so far in the forums didn't help too much.
