I have 2 sounds cards. One is the onboard via82xx. The other is a C-Media cmi8738. I have been trying to configure these cards so that I can capture TV sound on the Via82xx and use the C-media for all output. I have tried reading the posts here and on other sites including alsa-project. I guess I don't understand enough about modules to get this working. Please any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

As I read this post again, I realize that I didn't really ask a clear question, so here goes:
1. How do I install two cards?
2. Once they are configured how do I tell mythtv to capture from via82xx? I think I set line in on via82xx as capture and then set up the capture card in mythtv-setup and /dev/dsp1.

Thanks.

It's seems that he alluded to the fact that he had searched the board. I had a somewhat difficult time finding the post again, and I'm the one who authored it!

Thanks alot Dinki. That was exactly what I needed. I'm sorry I could not find it myself but I really do appreciate your help. Most of my questions I have been able to find answers here for. Don't know why I could find this one.

I love this software. Thanks.
