hi all, i fell really dumb for asking this, but i'm planing to setup a myth box with 2 250 tuners, my current setup is the cable from my direct tv box goes to my vcr and then to my tv, via that standard type cable that you just screw onto that metal nub. so my question is where do i split the cable to add the 2 card in?

if you are using direct tv or digital cable or anything else that requires a box outside of the mythtv box to tune the channel then you don't split the cable. That is to say you cannot use two tuner cards (pvr250s) with one sat box. (well you could split the cable and use two, but they will always record the same thing. rather defeats the purpose.)

Xsecrets is right. Those unfortunates using satellite TV need a separate RECEIVER for each tuner card. Sucks. DirecTV charges an additional $5/mo. for each receiver, too. Kinda makes you want to try over-the-air, doesn't it?
