Reading the forum, it seems that people are having problems with the Hauppauge WINTV-PVR 350 TV Out. I was wondering what tuner has successfully worked on a comuter that has a built in mpeg2 encoder chip on the card and output to a TV. Can you get WINTV-PVR 250 to output to a TV somehow? Thanks.

nope

to my knowledge the only tuner card that has tvout and is supported at all in linux is the pvr350.

Has anyone been successful with installing KnoppMyth and getting the PVR-350 card to output to the TV? If so, how was it done? Are there any other ways to output to the TV? I have seen a lot of screenshots of MythTV outputing to TVs, so I know it can be done somehow. I just don't want to but the PVR-350 if it won't let me output to a TV. I want to watch MythTV on my TV in my living room, not on my small monitor.

Have you searched the forum? Get a video card w/ TV out.
