More power to ya...

I've felt your pain for a long, long time, but it does have it's rewards.

The only thing I've learned from all of my years of working with/supporting Windows, is that it will let you down, often and when you really expect it to work just fine. Expect it to break VERY often, and don't expect it to be fixed with paying for an update/upgrade. The only version of Win that was good was 3.1, but I would have to reload it all from scratch every two months because it would fubar for no reason.

Most of my Linux boxes just work. If there's a hiccup, it's because I'm pushing the envelope on purpose. My current headache is with running the Win F@H GPU folding client in Wine. I have a reference WinXP box, but it crashes, too. It's very, very, very frustrating.

Sorry to the gang for my 'rant.' I just get really urked when folks expect way too much for nothing.

FYI: Yes, I've 'donated.' Maybe it wasn't enough, but I had the $$$'s at the time, and Cecil got them.

I work in Auto Parts now, and you couldn't imagine all the folks that just walk in and expect me to KNOW what their car needs. All they do is pump gas, start it up, and drive. It's really depressing. I thought computer support was bad!
