Along with my recent upgrade to .22 I invested in a bluray drive for my desktop ubuntu system. I've ripped a couple of bluray films to mkv, and copied them to a new 1Tb video drive on my mythbox. Using the .22 Internal player and vdpau they playback extremely smoothly, but the keyboard stops responding. (not running a remote at this time so can't test that).

Is anyone else seeing this? Keyboard responsiveness returns once playback of mkv file end. Oh, but Alt-x still works.

Just as a follow up to this - having got my remote working this is now a non-issue. The keyboard still doesn't respond while playing mkv files, but myth does respond to the remote. Which is a relief.

The first thing that came to my mind was that an "external player" was being launched to play the mkv files since the problem only happened with these. Whatever the other player is (vlc, mplayer, etc.) would need lirc setup for it.

However, since your remote IS working and the keyboard isn't, that blows my theory.
