So I installed a Streamzap remote and somehow it screwed up my MythTV box. I couldn't make my Hauppauge PVR work at all and I couldn't change the channels on my Pinnacle PCTV. The fix I turned my computer off...... Unpluged it..... and hit the power button to drain the last little bit of power. Then I rebooted it and rebuilt my settings. It works now (knock on wood). I've noticed before that if the computer doesn't shut down properly sometimes the cards will swap device order and screw up the recordings. I'm not sure what is causing that it might just be a badly designed motherboard. All In all I'm really pissed about it because it broke at the begining of my 60 hour week and I just now got a chance to really fix it, but the fix was so easy I didn't need any time at all. Grummble grummble (walks away hands in pockets and kicks the trash can before exiting the room) |
