Just wondering if there is a New release scheduled with .22 or .23 ?

.22 is available in the test files... runs nice with a couple work-arounds.

0.22-fixes is now standard while 0.23-svn is available for testing

Does this mean that if I download Linhes today, it comes with .22?

I'm not an expert, but I think you grab whatever LinHES is available (by file or torrent) and then update it. When you update it, it gets the latest and greatest stuff. With the new paradigm, Cecil and the other devs aren't limited to big official 'releases' anymore.

Sorry to cause confusion. The current CD available for download has 0.21-fixes default. You need to change to the testing repo and then update to get 0.22-fixes. You would need to go a step further and specifically remove 0.21/0.22 and then install 0.23-svn if you want to try it out.

Apologies for the delay and lack of communications folks. Thanks for sticking with the oldest and best Linux HTPC solution. A ISO with 0.22 will be available shortly (one to two weeks).

Thanks to those that switched to testing and provided feedback.

At the moment, 0.22 is in core. I however have chosen to hide core until the upgrade can be scripted. Due to some issues, a simple pacman -Syu isn't going to work for all systems. So, a pacman -Sy linhes-scripts will pull in the a script that will upgrade the system. Those that want to download and install via the new ISO can do so. However, there is no need for this...

Does this mean that if you have Automatic Updates turned on in the Service Menu your system will get hosed when the Core is unhidden with .22 in it and your system does an Automatic Update?

No, the script for auto upgrade isn't there (yet).

I like the idea of performing the upgrade with a script. Would it be possible to take into account nfsroot images and upgrade diskless images on the fly.
It would be a monster time saver when the hardware differs.

Please
