Hi,

I scheduled two recordings which overlapped by a few minutes. They happen to be on the same digital frequency (?) but different channels.

I have a dual tuner card (Dvico Dual Digital 4 rev 2), so I assume there should not be a conflict?
I have allowed either tuner to be used for both recordings. The option of selecting either tuner exists when setting the schedule.

Any ideas about what is going on?

regards,
Myk

When you setup the tuners, did you set the number of simultaneous recordings on each to more than one?

I guess it should work regardless, but that setting is worth checking.

Thanks Greg,

I went to 'mythtv-setup', and did have simultaneous recordings set to 2.

The major problem was only one of the tuners was properly detected. Both were detected, but one came up with an error. I deleted the tuners, and tried to add them again, but again only one was detected properly.
I had a similar issue with Mythdora. Usually repeated attempts eventually got both tuners properly detected.

regards,
Mykola

Hi Mykola,
Did you want to share what device this is? I'm guessing a Dvico.

Heh, sorry.
OK, I've dumped all my Dvico cards for R6 because the built-in kernel support only recognises one tuner. Due to this 'support' it is impossible to add support via Chris Pascoe's drivers, which work correctly.

Mike

I have this same card and can use both tuners, however I did have an issue with this same problem about recording an overlapping program on the same multiplex.

My install is not really good at the moment so I will have to let you know how I go after a reinstall.
