In my system (a fresh 6.02 with the following modification http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... ight=amule on a Atom/ION mainboard with single hdd) used as a main backend, the script apparently hanged with no message displayed. After about an hour of no apparent activity I halted the script (crtl+C), executed pacman -Syu (that found all packages already updated) and rebooted. At reboot the db was correctly updated and is working perfectly having maintained all network shares and other settings I had before update. I also think that the backend was not down during the process (mythweb was apparently working) but I decided to let the script go on his own in order to avoid breaking something (this is something that often happens if I do something on my own!). I haven't had the time to check thoroughly (everything just works, so no much point in analysing new settings!) but R6.03 seems very nice so far. Sorry for not being able to provide more details but I couldn't find a log of the upgrade script. |
