I saw this news item about new features for Boxee, and I want it. http://www.ehomeupgrade.com/2010/06/15/ ... ow-content Has anyone gotten Boxee installed on LinHES/Arch at all? This is really temping me to install Mythbuntu. |

My guess on that post... only the boxee box hardware will support premium/pay-per-view type content. Boxee has a boat load of dependences (a lot worse than XBMC). It may be possible in an upcoming release, but someone has to dedicate the time to get it to compile and get all the dependences to compile. Since almost all the Internet content on Boxee is flash based, there is currently no GPU acceleration under Linux right now. Plus the Netflix plugin is Windows only. You might as well use XBMC and Hulu Desktop right now. Just my 2cents. |
