Post subject:  Audio static on LiveTV [solved]
I consistently get static for sound on my pvr-500 after a LiveTV channel change. The first channel off either tuner of the pvr-500 is fine! Sound is fine on HDHR and on all recordings. But after a channel change of the pve-500, only static. This happens on both my FEs. Killing my WAF! Also not seeing much in the logs.

Well it looks as if this is a long-standing problem. The one time fix is v4l2-ctl --set-audio-input 0 -d /dev/video0 at the MBE. But then I change the channel again and bam! no sound again. Maybe a tie-in to a remote button? idk

OK this channel change script foundhere has done the trick it seems. I didn't need a channel change script previously, so I couldn't find an easy fix or place to put the above command. But these two lines seems to have done me right.
