I have a diskless FE that has been running R6.02 with no problems for months. I would like to upgrade my FE/BE as well as the diskless FE to 6.03.

Do I need to set up the diskless FE all over again using the
config_diskless_frontend.bash
script

OR

Can I just run the wiki code
Code:
Make a backup
Exit mythfrontend and open an xterm by pressing Alt-X (not from an ssh session)
sudo pacman -Sy linhes-scripts
sudo upgrade_linhes.sh

from the diskless frontend. Will this preserve the net boot scripts?

I am in the same boat. I tried the :

Code:
sudo pacman -Sy linhes-scripts

and it errored out sayin':

Quote:
ERROR 202 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql,sock' (2)

Ran this from the Diskless front end. Makes sense as I believe the installer assumes that it being run on the master BE. There must be a work around.... I suppose just setting it all up and erasing the old would work too..

Has anyone done this for 6.03 to 6.04 ?

I'm sure there must be a simple method to upgrade the diskless frontend following an upgrade to the backend.
