Post subject: | Mythstream for LinHES 6.03.00 (mythtv 0.23) WORKING!!! |
Just wondering if anyone has been able to get Mythstream working after upgrading to LinHES 6.03.00? After a google search I see that cecil was working on recompiling it for .23: http://knoppmyth.net/pipermail/linhes-c ... 00923.html ...but after installing the one out of the core-testing repo (or at least I think I did) Code: # pacman -Qi mythstream
Name : mythstream Version : 0.18_3-10 URL : http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~moongies/streamtuned.html Licenses : GPL Groups : mythtv-extras Provides : None Depends On : mythtv perl-xml-simple fftw fftw2 perl-xml-xql Optional Deps : None Required By : None Conflicts With : None Replaces : None Installed Size : 2028.00 K Packager : LinHESDev@knoppmyth.net Architecture : i686 Build Date : Sun 15 Aug 2010 01:19:46 AM EDT Install Date : Mon 23 Aug 2010 03:27:33 PM EDT Install Reason : Explicitly installed Install Script : Yes Description : Unofficial MythTV plugin for Internet audio and video streams. I still get a message saying that "The Plugin Mythstream has failed to run for some reason" and "Plugin mythstream is not compatible with the installed MythTV libraries..." Any ideas? |

I know mythstream has been on again-off again supported with the various versions of MythTV...so... I have 2 or 3 specific stations I like to stream. Is there a way to just setup a shortcut to each within the Online Streams menu?? I know mythstream was more of a parser and was VERY convenient, but like I said, I know which specific streams I continually listen to and don't necessarily need the added funtionality. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Since you installed mythstream from testing you will also need to install mythtv and the other plugins from testing. |

Scratch that. You should be able to upgrade in stable. Testing is going to get unstable quite soon. |

...so since mythstream 18_3-10 was in the testing repo, it would only work with a testing version of mythtv? Because I upgraded in the core repository (not the testing one) |

You should be able to do a pacman -Syu in stable now and get everything you need. As stated elsewhere make sure your repos are set to stable as testing is going to become unstable soon. |

GENIUS!!! That worked! For those interested, here's what I did: -Made sure I was setup in /etc/pacman.conf under the stable repository (not core-testing) -Update to the latest LinHES per knoppmyth.net instructions -pacman -Syu -pacman -U http://knoppmyth.net/repo/i686/core-tes ... pkg.tar.gz Hope this helps someone else!!! |
