Only the ability to stream to the Android and iPod apps becomes locked. Personally I wish they would just charge for the Android and iPods apps but I think the author of those apps wanted to "encourage" people to donate to Subsonic instead of paying him. It's been well worth the 10 pounds (British) for me gaining access to 50+ GB of music over my 3g connection.

actually, the one free app for the iphone didnt work so well for me. it would get stuck and not go on to the next song when playing an entire album. i sprung for the $4.99 iSub iPhone app. also, video streaming is locked. be that as it may, so far subsonic is indeed worth 10 the euros
