To upgrade is it ok just to run pacman -Syu or do you have to run a script?

edit: I didn't see testing until now i'll hold off from upgrading.

It's pretty much a 'test the recorder' test version.

It's missing a bunch of features you'd want for your production machine.

The good news is the dvr part works real good .... :D

What features are those? I have been playing with R7 current on my new FE/SBE machine (acting as FE/MBE right now) and it's actually going quite well. I haven't noticed anything missing.

Well, after you fixed mythweb in bugfix 752 and 753... Thank You sir ! .... :D

NOW I got Mythweb working... I assumed that it wasn't enabled in the test version....

Happy to help. I promised to log my issues with R6 and never got around to it, so I thought I would try to contribute to getting R7 polished.

Tried a 'CD' upgrade from 7.00.01 to 7.00.02. First boot hung on 'runit/2'

Tried again 'new install' .... Went quickly and routinely. Up and running routinely with no issues, except I had to add the firmware for the Pinnacle cards.

Looking good so far, but I can't test the HD-PVR on this machine: AGP vidcard, can't run VDPAU on decoding .h264.
