http://www.thechromesource.com/netflix- ... n-the-way/ So it looks like there will be a netflix plugin for chrome and chrome OS. Looks like ALL I HAVE TO DO is install chrome (chromium) and wait for the plugin! I guess they are going away from Silverlight and are moving to HTML 5 ( I assume the contract with Microsoft is over). Right now I'm having trouble getting chrome installed It would be awesome if it was in the REP Come on Netflix I'm sooo close to having a perfect Home Entertainment Center. |

Matt, While not an open source solution, I've had 1 button press Netflix streaming from the main menu for a few months now. See this thread: http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22086&highlight= Granted, not having to fire XP in a virtual machine would be nice, but this works for us and the WAF is extremely high due to it. Also, since Netflix changed their user interface (it is not nearly as friendly as the old one) I found a Chrome plugin that will use the old (hidden) Netflix user interface. So XP now fires Chrome instead of Firefox on boot up. -Shawn |
