Clean install of 7.1. Tried to do "pacman -Sy" and hit the following error: Code: pacman -Sy :: Synchronizing package databases... error: failed retrieving file 'core.db' from linhes.org : No address record error: failed to update core (No address record) error: failed retrieving file 'extra.db' from linhes.org : No address record error: failed to update extra (No address record) error: failed to synchronize any databases The last few lines of /etc/pacman.conf contains Code: [core]
Server = http://linhes.org/repo/i686/core [extra] Server = http://linhes.org/repo/i686/extra Any help would be appreciated. |

looks like DNS isn't working, or network in general is not working |

jams, that was the problem -- thanks. I had configured a static IP through the LINHES service menu, but somehow /etc/resolv.conf had not been setup properly. I reran the network setup n the LINHES service menu, veriified that /etc/resolv.conf has properly configured and all is well now. Don't know why it failed the first time, but all is good now. Thanks again! |
