Hello,

I just updated my system and getting things back in order and I am seeing that irxevent is not starting automatically. I can manually start it and then restart the frontend, but that's a bit tedious. I have tried adding '/usr/bin/irxevent -d' it to my /etc/run.it/lirc.sh script or to my .fluxbox/apps, but neither seem to work.

Any ideas on how to get it starting on boot?

I had a similar problem with irexec where the daemon failed to start on one of my frontends. In the end I added "sleep 5" in /usr/LH/bin/LinHES-run just after the irexec call which worked around the issue. I've seen this before in earlier releases but I'm not sure what the interaction is but there seems to be some race condition.

While editing the LinHES-Run script I remembered why irxevent wasn't loading. It is not configured to load in LinHES-Run. I now remember that was one of the config changes I had to do before to get everything working. It starts irexec, but not irxevent. Now to do some more documenting of changes for the next time I update my system.
