Currently the service menu gives the ability to setup external dynamic DNS via the provider DynDNS.
Years ago DynDNS was the defacto standard and they offered a free service.
However DynDNS discontinued the free aspect of their service and the cheapest they have to offer is $20/year.
I suspect that price is a bit too high for most casual users so I would like input from others.

Should we stay with DynDNS?
Switch to a different provider(which one)?
Do we even continue to offer the service menu for this particular option?

I don't really have an opinion on this topic, but see no need to have an option if nobody uses it.

Should mention i'm not proposing removing the ddclient program, just modifying the service menu and it's configuration.

According to this, you can still get a free account...

Agreed and understood. I suspect we are going to see many companies that are in maturing spaces reduce or eliminate the scope of the free part of the "freemium" services they offer. Emerging spaces will continue to leverage the freemium model more heavily.

Just an opinion based on what I am seeing. That and $1.90 will get you a cup of coffee at Peet's :-)
