For those that will have spare time in the next few weeks, a preview release of R8 is available at:
http://linhes.org/downloads/R8/R8-test-12-21-12.iso

Most things should work with this release, but it's missing some things from R7 while gaining a few things that R7 does not have.

Some of the main features or changes from R7 include:
- 64 bit OS
- Different partition layout. Now /home and the mysql dir are on their own partitions.
- Tighter integration. For instance if mythzoneminder get installed from the service menu, zoneminder also gets installed and added to the backend web page.
- Redo of the remote selection screen, to make finding the more common remotes eaiser.
- VNC service screen.

During install I highly suggest selecting a window manager other then default. This will let you select the enhanced style along with using supplemental-web. Those two things being enabled really adds to the experience and tighten ups the integration.

Do not try to use this ISO to update an R7 instance, because of the new partition layout it will not work. R8 does require using a different OS drive.
