Post subject:  UPNP and network drives

I have noticed that my LinHES box shows up in windows as a media device and the network shares show up on Windows as long as I have UPNP turned on. What is going on there? how does it work? can I make it all work manually without UPNP? I had to add a second router at my house and the UPNP stuff isn't going across the second router. If it matters the two routers are a Dlink DI-604 stock firmware and a TP-Link TL-WR841N running "Open WRT". Current configuration is
Code:
             LinHES        WiFi
                |           |
Internet---->(DLink)---->(TP-Link)->Windows
              /    \
         Blu-Ray   HDHR

Thanks.

MythTV has built in upnp which is more then likely what your seeing show up. At one point LinHES had other upnp software installed, but I don't think it was enabled by default.

For the two routers, upnp will NOT multicast across the 2nd router unless a static route is configured or the 2nd router is made aware of the 1st.
