I have to do a restore for my LinHES R8. I took my backup.2013-06-01_18-01 file and placed it in /backup/system_backups. When I go into the Service Menu and select "Restore LinHES", it does nothing. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

The file should go here BACKUPDIR=/data/storage/disk0/backup/system_backups Look in /var/run/restore.log for details as to what else may be going wrong. I would suggest using the web interface, as it allows one to choose the file to restore, and gives a bit more feedback. system=>system health=> click on MBE system => restore database |

Also having trouble restoring the backup. First backup from R7.5 (creates mythconverge.sql.gz, and saved files.tar) Next, hooked up original HD via usb. Third, uploaded backup via the mythweb page. Fourth, clicked restore and partial Next, clicked Go but it throws out a permission error code 13 on another screen Code: ls -l -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 23855420 mythconverge,sql.gz Code: ls /data/storage/disk0/backup/system_backups mythconverge.sql.gz

I don't know what the permissions problem is, but the restore will fail because it won't be able to find the old database file Looks like the file that was uploaded was the user backup, but it should have been the system backup file. See http://linhes.org/projects/linhes/wiki/ ... _R7X_to_R8 |

Was able to complete the restore the HTML interface thru me for a loop but the migration doc helped Thanks for the help, back in business..... |
