I saw recently the 'fix' for mythwelcome hanging the system by removing the 'airplay' (thanks to jams for publishing that). And I was hopeful that mythwelcome would be fully functioning again. Sadly not.

I am able to exit the fontend successfully and I am presented with mythwelcome. However, the screen reports the box idle and doesn't do anything. If I manually shutdown from there, mythwelcome sets the wakeup time for the next recording, but it doesn't shutdown again subsequently.

I have looked at my backend and frontend logs and cannot see anything obvious... I've run the mythwelcome-config.py. I've checked the settings.

I have looked at the mythwelcome settings via 'I' and not sure what and the mythwelcome/mythshutdown settings via F11. Oh and I tried changing relevant settings in myth-setup to use "/user/bin/mythshutdown -- check" instead of "/usr/bin/LH/idle.sh -s -m -r"

Any thoughts to what I have missed.

Many thanks...

Just a quick update (for completeness) this is now solved, or at least Mythwelcome works following RacerX's guide over in Hints and Tips. Thanks.
