Hello,

I am currently running my original setup while I setup a new machine. Every has been running fine for years but today the router changed the
IP address of my machine. When I boot the system it prompts for the IP address which I have entered correctly. I have gone into MythTV and changed it there.
I have gone back into the setup by exiting MythTV and stopping the backend (Alt 2) and then (Alt S) I have changed the IP address in the network settings to
the same as MythTV. The machine is setup as a Master backend but it does not connect to still put up the message "cannot connect to master backend is it
running? make sure the IP address is correct in the setup"

I have changed the IP address in 2 places, rebooted a few times, confirmed the correct IP address. Why is it still saying it cannot connect?

Looks like fault existed between keyboard and chair

In setup and under general then network I had set the local to the correct address but not the master back end.
Note to self don't stand up when configuring on a temporary monitor and not looking a the screen properly.

It all working fine now, just had to change the IP address in MythTV and then the Local and Master in the setup.

I hate it when that Happens!!
